Being an effective negotiator is a very critical skill that a REALTOR® must possess in assisting his/her client and becoming a success in real estate. We will dispel the myth that to be effective at negotiating, you have to be born one. We will show the REALTOR® the 21 key items to integrate into their behavior that will help them become effective in reasoning with other people including the lenders and loss mitigators in the “New Reality”. In addition we will explore the 27 behaviors to avoid along with the five most important aspects of reading “body language”, the four most important communications skills, and the five-step negotiating/communication track in resolving issues.
This program will describe the unique aspects of negotiating in this “New Reality” that differentiate the essential skills needed today as opposed to those that are essential in other markets.
The program will first explore the four most important foundation communication skills that are very critical for the real estate professional to master to become effective at negotiating. After this, the program will cover five aspects of how body language sends subconscious messages to the receiver and how to effectively interpret them.
The highlight of the program will be presenting the “21 Items to Always Include” when negotiating with another and building a confident posture with that person. We will provide real-life examples of how they can work to resolve issues with the lenders and loss mitigators. In this section will cover the “27 behaviors to avoid” when negotiating.
We will then conclude the program by reviewing the “Five-Step” Negotiating Process to resolve issues and solve problems.
