Transitioning From Residential To Commercial Real Estate provides an excellent introduction to residential agents looking to make the intimidating but financially rewarding leap to commercial real estate brokerage.  This program is not about commercial real estate fundamentals or academic principals.  It is meant as a window into the commercial brokerage world hosted by a top commercial broker who is actively plying his trade and in the trenches on a daily basis.  This program is designed to give ‘real world’ advice on how to enter, succeed, and dominate in one of the most challenging and lucrative sales professions.


About David Murphy

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

David Murphy is a recognized market leader in corporate representation and industrial investment sales.  Mr. Murphy completed his first real estate transaction as an 18 year old college freshman selling properties between class work and hockey practice at Penn State.  During his 20 year real estate career, he has won countless awards and is recognized as an expert in industrial real estate who is routinely quoted in national industrial publications.  Mr. Murphy combines his unrelenting advocacy on behalf of his clients with strong technical real estate skills.  He has an extensive commercial real estate valuation background and is a Florida Certified General Appraiser as well as a member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI). 

SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENTS

As a result of his remarkable ability to successfully complete transactions, Mr. Murphy was named 2008 NAIOP of Central Florida “Broker of the Year”.  This is the sixth consecutive year he has been recognized as the top Industrial Broker in Central Florida.  Real Estate Florida Magazine named Mr. Murphy one of the Top 25 Commercial Brokers in Florida 2008.  The Central Florida Association of Realtors has also recognized Mr. Murphy as the top producing Industrial Broker.  He has also been recognized as one of the “Top 200 Agents” nationally for CBRE.
