Welcome to “Forecasting the Financial Health of Your Business.” During this course we’ll cover off a wide variety of topics that will assist you in projecting and managing the finances of your business.

The goal of forecasting the financial side of the business is so that the finances don’t control you. Cash flow and good money management is the lifeblood of any business. You have to be able to understand and monitor the financial side of the business.

Financial data provides the business owner with accurate knowledge of the business’s profitability and feasibility. Through the use of this information the owner will have a better overall financial picture of the business and be in a position to make sound decisions at the beginning and during the course of the business.

This course will walk you through the key areas necessary forecast and project financial data such as an income statement and cash flow. It will assist you in determining the feasibility of your idea from a money point of view.

Author Overview

Dawn Braddock has been successfully self-employed for 10 years. She is currently the sole proprietor of a business that specializes in entrepreneurship, human resource management and leadership training. Dawn is also a partner in two other companies focusing on training and materials for youth, persons with disabilities and the experienced worker.

During this time Dawn developed a diploma course on business planning that is available through a national correspondence program at various adult learning centres. Dawn also assisted in the creation and co-ordination of a 20-week program on how to start a small business.

Dawn travels throughout North America delivering over 10 different seminar topics. A few of the products and services Dawn’s company has provided to organizations during this time includes:
