In that capacity, she is directly responsible for developing and delivering selected administrative, managerial, policy and customized training services to OAR’s fifty-two local member associations, including coordination and administration of the National Association’s organizational standards certification program for those local associations. Swisher also oversees the Association’s programming related to equal opportunity and mediation training and services, and MLS policies and issues.

Swisher has been in trade association management since September 1975, serving as Executive Vice President of the Lake County Association and the Marion Board of REALTORS®. Active as a volunteer with OAR since 1978, she chaired a number of committees including Professional Standards, Multiple Listing Service, and Executive Officers, and was the President’s appointee to the OAR Executive Committee in 1987. During that time she also taught a number of Civil Rights/Fair Housing continuing education programs, and a course on agency and ethics at Lakeland Community College, for real estate licensees.

Swisher was certified in 1985 as an instructor of professional standards procedures (CPSI) by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® and certified by NAR in 2001 by Professional Standards Administration.
