New Online Courses

1. Go Green—with the New NAR Green Designation: Green is in demand, and you will be too once you have this important new designation!
Supported by the Green REsource Council and offered through REBAC and REALTOR® University, NAR’s Green Designation will teach you about green building principles applied to residences, commercial properties, developments, and communities, so that you can list, market, and manage green properties as well as guide your clients in purchasing them. You’ll become an expert in innovations in green home construction and retro-fitting, resource-efficient home systems, evaluating the cost-benefit of green-home features, and much more. “REALTORS®" understand the importance of green building practices and trends, and consumer demand for professional knowledge surrounding these issues is growing at a phenomenal rate,” said NAR President Richard F. Gaylord, a broker with RE/MAX Real Estate Specialists in Long Beach, Calif. “NAR’s Green Designation will ensure our members have the insight and tools to serve environmentally conscientious consumers and commercial investors.” To earn the Green Designation, students must complete a twelve-hour core course called the NAR Green Designation Course, plus one six-hour elective. REALTOR® University is the exclusive provider of the Green designation core and elective courses. The core course debuts this week at the Annual Conference, so REALTORS® in Orlando can be the first ever to “go green.” The NAR Green Residential Elective course will be available November 6, at REALTOR® University with core designation course to follow.
