Overview
The author, Jayne Pilot, developed a “Three Step Process – Identify, Insure, Improve” TM in 1995 for implementing a Management System (MS) to International Standards. Jayne is author of the book on “ISO 9001”, a Pilot Guide to implementing a quality management system following her Three Step Process, released in 2002.

This course will cover the second step in implementing a quality management system “Insure” and the tasks required.

This course is part of a series, which is core training for individuals wishing to become quality auditors. The course covers the ISO 9001 standard model requirements. Refer to the catalogue for auditing course series.

 
Course Description:
The course reviews the tasks required in Step Two Insure, which consists of Step Two Insure Checklist, Insuring implementation of: Plans identified in Step One, Documentation requirements, Management responsibility, Resource Management, Training, Communications, Product Realization Requirements, Design and Development, Purchasing, Production and Service Provision, Monitoring and Measuring Devices and Measurement Analysis and Improvement.
 
Learning Outcomes:
The course provides you with an understanding of a process approach to implementing a quality management system. It provides an implementation package for participants to assist in reducing the amount of time to implement a quality management system. It is also core training for auditors.

Participants will learn through viewing information on line, and answering quiz questions for each module. Answers are provided at the end for the participant to check their answers. Workshop exercises assist the individual in completing tasks that will assist in quality management system implementation.

Reference to resources to assist in implementation are also provided, such as Pilot’s book on “ISO 9001” Pilot Guide to implementing a Quality Management System and pocket booklets for employees covering warehouse and office references.
