Overview
The author, Jayne Pilot, developed a “Three Step Process – Identify, Insure, Improve” TM in 1995 for implementing a Management System (MS) to International Standards. Jayne is author of the book on “ISO 9001”, a Pilot Guide to implementing a quality management system following her Three Step Process, released in 2002.

This course will cover the implementation of the ISO/TS 16949:2002 requirements for the Automotive Industry.

Many vehicle manufacturers are either mandating or recommending their suppliers have the ISO/TS 16949 registration or self declaration. The ISO 9001 courses along with this course will assist automotive production and parts suppliers to implement their quality management system.

The ISO/TS 16949 was published in March of 2002 and are based on the ISO 9001:2000 Standard. We recommend participants take the three courses on the ISO 9001:2000 Standard, before taking this course.

This course is part of a series, which is core training for individuals wishing to become quality auditors. Refer to the catalogue for auditing course series.

Course Description:
The course reviews the additional requirements the ISO/TS standard requires for the automotive parts and manufacturing industry. The course takes you through implementation to ISO/TS following Pilot’s checklists Step One - Identify, Step Two - Insure and Step Three - Improve. The course covers Gap Analysis, and how to conduct one.

These courses are core training for auditors. Refer to the catalogue for a list of the auditing course series.
