Overview
The author, Jayne Pilot, EMS(LA), CEA, CPEA, has been conducting internal and lead auditor training since 1995. Jayne was involved in the development of auditor certification requirements and the body of skills and knowledge for auditors in Canada and United States.
The auditor training is presented in a series of courses in auditing follows the ISO 19011:2002 Guidelines for Quality and Environmental Auditing.
We recommend that the Core training for the applicable Standard you are interested in auditing (example Quality - ISO 9001 series training or Environmental - ISO 14001 training) be taken before the Auditor training series.
Course Description:
This course covers Pilot’s Five Steps in auditing: Initiating, Preparing, Conducting, Audit Reports & Distribution and Audit Completion to the ISO 19011 guidelines.
Learning Outcomes:
Participant will gain an understanding of tasks required for each step in auditing and the working documents needed. This course presents information on the following: determining feasibility of audit, initiating audit objectives, audit team selection, document review, how to prepare for an audit, audit plan, developing working documents for conducting audits, sampling and collecting evidence, findings, non-conformances, opening meeting and closing meeting presentations. Participants will gain experience in developing audit plans, writing checklists, audit reports.
