Overview
The author, Jayne Pilot, has been conducting internal and lead auditor training since 1995. This series of courses in internal auditing will take your auditors through the ISO 19011 requirements for Quality and Environmental Auditing. The Three Step Process training courses needs to be completed before taking Internal Auditor training to have an understanding of the standard’s requirements.
 
Course Description:
The internal auditor training is presented in a series of four courses, covering the following: Internal auditing overview, management system background review and ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 comparisons. Pilot’s Three I’s model for the Audit Program: Identify: Authority for audit program, defining the program. Insure: Implementing the Audit Program (Auditor Competence and Records). Auditing Steps. Improving the Program: Monitoring and Reviewing Audit Program and Improving the program. Pilot has a five step program in auditing: 1. Initiating the audit, 2. Preparing the audit 3. Conducting the Audit 4. Audit Reports and document retention and 5. Audit Completion.
 
Learning Outcomes:
This course covers series of courses on internal auditing. It will review the requirements of the guidance document on auditing, and assist in establishing your internal audit process planning. Skills in development of audit plans, checklists, writing of corrective action reports, as well as audit reports will be covered.
