This CCCEP-approved program was developed to introduce pharmacists to their potential role in the best practice management of patients with ulcerative colitis. This module brings attention to a condition that can often present with some classic symptoms and complaints, but that can also remain undiagnosed and sub-optimally managed until the condition progresses to a worsened presentation. Pharmacists will become familiar with contributions they can make in the early identification and referral of their patients, as well as strategies and considerations for optimizing treatment.
This program was developed through the efforts of the Ontario Pharmacists’ Association’s Drug Information and Research Centre in collaboration with content experts. It is presented by Dr. John Marshall MD MSc FRCPC AGAF with case study presentations by Brian Jurewitsch PharmD.
This program is for educational purposes only. No continuing education units (CEUs) or certificate or record of completion are provided.
